2. Quotes and Estimates

All quotes provided are estimates based on the information you supply to us. Final charges may vary depending on actual conditions encountered on moving day, including but not limited to:

  • Accuracy of inventory provided
  • Accessibility of locations (stairs, elevators, parking distance)
  • Additional services requested on moving day
  • Actual time required to complete the move

We strive to provide accurate estimates and will communicate any changes to pricing before proceeding with additional work.

3. Booking and Scheduling

A booking is confirmed once you have received written or verbal confirmation from Mountain Movers ATX and any required deposit has been received. We recommend booking your move as early as possible to secure your preferred date, especially during peak moving seasons.

4. Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your move, please notify us as soon as possible:

  • Cancellations made 72 hours or more before your scheduled move: Full refund of any deposit paid.
  • Cancellations made less than 72 hours before your scheduled move: Deposit may be forfeited or applied to a rescheduled move at our discretion.
  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows: Full deposit forfeiture.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a move due to unsafe conditions, severe weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.

5. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth and efficient move, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about items to be moved and locations involved
  • Ensure clear and safe access to both pickup and delivery locations
  • Secure or remove items not being moved
  • Be present or have an authorized representative present during the move
  • Inform us of any items requiring special handling
  • Disclose any access restrictions, parking limitations, or building requirements

6. Prohibited Items

Mountain Movers ATX will not transport the following items:

  • Hazardous materials (flammables, explosives, corrosives, chemicals)
  • Perishable food items
  • Plants (for long-distance moves)
  • Pets or live animals
  • Illegal substances or contraband
  • Firearms and ammunition (unless properly secured and disclosed)
  • Items of extraordinary value without prior arrangement (cash, jewelry, important documents)

You are responsible for transporting these items yourself.

7. Valuation and Liability

Mountain Movers ATX takes great care in handling your belongings. However, moving inherently involves some risk. Our liability for loss or damage is limited as follows:

  • Basic Valuation Coverage: Included at no additional charge, this coverage provides compensation at a rate of $0.60 per pound per article.
  • Full Value Protection: Available for an additional fee, this option covers the repair or replacement of damaged items at their current market value. Ask us for details.

You must select your valuation coverage option before your move begins.

8. Damage Claims

If any items are damaged or lost during your move:

  • Notify our crew immediately on moving day if possible
  • Submit a written claim within 7 days of delivery for visible damage
  • Submit a written claim within 30 days of delivery for concealed damage
  • Include photos and documentation of the damage

We will review all claims promptly and work with you to reach a fair resolution.

9. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the move unless other arrangements have been made in writing. We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Credit/Debit Card
  • Certified Check or Money Order

A deposit may be required to confirm your booking. The deposit amount will be communicated at the time of booking and applied toward your final balance.

10. Delays

While we make every effort to arrive on time and complete your move as scheduled, delays may occur due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances. Mountain Movers ATX is not liable for damages resulting from delays beyond our reasonable control.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mountain Movers ATX, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your negligence, or your violation of any law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mountain Movers ATX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Travis County, Texas.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
