We take the I-35 frontage road heading north up to University Blvd. We then jump on SH-45 to head west with minimal traffic most mornings. At A.W. Grimes Blvd we take an exit and go north past the stores near La Frontera. Finally we make a right turn on Mayfield Ranch Blvd to enter Mayfield Ranch directly which takes about 15 or 20 minutes typically from house to house. This route generally works best before 8 am and after 9:30 am as traffic can build up on A.W. Grimes during the school drop-off time around Round Rock High and the Fern Bluff Elementary zone. If you have a move during those time windows we'll plan our schedule around them so your movers don't sit in traffic on your move day.

The thing is though Mayfield Ranch as an area specifically is designed with moving in mind. The neighborhood was built in the early 2000s and has wide streets and cul-de-sacs designed to fit modern cars and SUVs and even moving trucks. Unlike some parts of older parts of Round Rock closer to downtown here you don't have to worry about narrow streets or low hanging tree branches blocking access. And if there's traffic at the SH-45 toll plaza you can also take an alternative route by Brushy Creek Rd on the south side of the subdivision. And parking is generally rarely an issue here since most of the homes in Mayfield Ranch have two-car garages and wide enough driveways to set up a moving truck right in front of your house without worrying about blocking a neighbor's driveway or sitting on someone's lawn. The streets are maintained by the HOA here too so you don't have to worry about crumbling sidewalks or curbs.

If you're further up in the Highlands though toward the north side of the neighborhood we generally enter off CR 175 which can be quicker and avoids the roundabout by the community pool. We've been loading trucks out of homes on Carriage Hills Trail and off Settlers Valley Dr so we know which way works best for your section of the neighborhood.

Finally one thing we ask of Mayfield Ranch residents: if you have a gate code for your part of the neighborhood let us know ahead of time. Some of the newer sections of the neighborhood are gated which means we need a code to enter. If you have that code ready then when we arrive we won't have to call you to find out when we can get in while you're in the middle of packing up your kitchen stuff.
